Your first stop will be the formerly biggest Cistercian abbey in Central Europe with the stunning Gothic and Baroque Gothic Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist. You can admire work of extremely talented architect Jan Blažej Santini Aichl, who is responsible for renovation of the cathedral. Your guide will point out unique architectonical features as you walk through the church.

Just few steps from the cathedral lies the Cemetery Church of All Saint with the Ossuary. Learn why and how the Ossuary was created and see the amazing art pieces made of human bones. Sedlec Ossuary is a place where human bones are the one and only decoration.

After a short bus ride to the city center of Kutna Hora, your guide will show you the Italian Court, a former Royal mint of Czech kingdom and residence of the Czech kings.

After a lunch break in one of the best local restaurants you'll have the opportunity to explore the life of silver miners in a museum dedicated to the Kutná Hora's silver mining tradition. Experience a fascinating journey through a real medieval silver mine in a typical silver miner dress with a white coat, helmet and a flashlight.

Your last stop takes you to the symbol of pride of Kutná Hora’s burghers. See the amazing Gothic cathedral of St. Barbara with original medieval frescoes on the walls. This wonderful trip felt like hanging out with a cool friend. No droning lectures that feel almost pre-recorded.

Our guide Jack (Hunza) brought the medieval town to life with stories tailored to our interests. The day was filled with lively conversation about the beautiful church, amazing cathedral, kings, and conflicts. We learned about Kutna Hora, Bohemia's history, and Czech life today--our topics ranged from silver mining to space exploration.

The pace and organization of this tour was fantastic! Jack met us at our hotel and organized all the details we needed for the day. Travel was smooth and comfortable. He planned little breaks throughout the day. We saw everything we wanted to see but never felt rushed.

We spent 5 days in and around Prague and this was our favorite experience!

We spent a remarkable day with our guide, Andrey, as he met us at our hotel and took us to the town of Kunta Hora to see the Ossuary, several churches and especially the Cathedral of Saint Barbara. Andrey’s English is very good and it was amazing how fast eight hours passed. He has extensive knowledge of Czech and European history so we learned all day long. He accompanied us back to our hotel on the train at the end of the day. We would highly recommend Andrey for any tour he offers.

Michal was a wealth of knowledge and a lot of fun. We enjoyed his stories and he kept my teens entertained which is no easy task. Definitely heed the warning of claustrophobia in the silver mines. We did fine but it was tight and dark at times. Overall great experience!

Kutna Hora is an interesting town, with many centuries of history that has contributed to what the Czech Republic is today. Jack was very professional, yet personable. My wife and I came away with an overall understanding of the past eight centuries the Prague-Kutna Hora area.

This was the best tour my wife and I have taken in any city by far. Jack(Honza) was our tour guide and from our first introductions with Honza, we knew it was going to be a fantastic tour. Honza was filled of incredible stories and history and he told them with great passion. Honza took care of all of the logistics of the tour and we never felt rushed during any of our visits in Kutna Hora. He encouraged questions and demonstrated that he loves his work. Really enjoyed the day Honza, thank you!

This was an excellent choice for a day trip from Prague. Our guide Jack was incredibly organized and very personable. He was knowledgeable about Prague and the history of the Czech Republic, and he kept us entertained all day with stories. He timed everything perfectly for a smooth trip. Kutná Hora was a beautiful town and this was a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We will use the same company/ guide again for future day trips.

I highly recommend this tour. It’s a little pricey but worth the money. Our guide,Jack, made it extra special. He was very knowledgeable and explained the history of the medieval mining town of Kutná Hora. Please note that parts of the silver mine are tight and narrow. They provide a hard hat and you will need it! The Saint Barbara Cathedral is absolutely stunning. One of the best days during our Prague vacation.
