Ragab is such a knowledgeable and fun tour guide! Luxor will not be the same without having the knowledge of Ragab. So much history and so many details worth learning. Add Alam as the perfect driver and you have a dynamic duo! Highly recommend!

This has been one of the best choices I made on my trip to Egypt: a fantastically curated private tour of Luxor's cultural treasures. I am not good with crowds of tourists, and despite being one myself, I consider the world's cultural treasures the responsibility of everyone who visits them. So, in general, my relationship with other tourists is not that good because of the lightness with which they behave and the irresponsibility and rudeness that they express in other nations and places. So, a private tour was just perfect.
Luxor archeological treasures are a crown of Egyptian art and culture that must be seen at least once in your lifetime. My tour started by being picked up from my hotel in Cairo, brought to the airport and flying to Luxor, where I was expected by my tour guide, Marian Azer. I spent two days in Luxor and stayed overnight in the Luxurious Hilton Luxor. Those were two days full of learning and exchange of ideas and knowledge with my fantastic guide.
The experience included the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossus of Memnon, Karnak Temple Complex, and Luxor Temple Complex. Each one of those places would not have been as half as amazing without the expert guide of Marian Azer.
Marian is an incredible professional Egyptologist. She is not only an encyclopedia of facts but also an amazing storyteller who is able to connect history with the monuments without making you feel like this is a school lesson.
She was always attentive and extremely kind, always making sure the information was in the right amount to not overwhelm you. In my case, I am really an avid learner; I am a university scholar at Concordia and Ottawa Universities in Canada (neuroscientist, artist, educator), and questions are always being formulated in my mind. I have studied many of the places I visited on this trip, corroborated facts and get additional, a lot of amazing additional information, sometimes can be challenging, but Marien was always ready to answer and always prepared to walk the extra mile to provide quality content.
We had such fantastic conversations. I discussed points that are usually hard to discuss in tours because the guides are scripted, but Marian really knows her subject.
Additionally, she always allowed me time to explore by myself, which I also really appreciate since I can meditate on the place, its importance, its contributions, and how these monuments keep teaching us about ourselves and how to face modern-day challenges. Again, I appreciate that flexibility, something that you do not find in crowded tours with strict, tight schedules and people roaming around you.
At the end of the second day, it was hard not to feel like I was talking to an old, very respected scholar friend. An extremely intelligent and knowledgeable person with vast knowledge and appreciation of Egyptian culture and its value. I would recommend this tour to anyone for the marvellous things you will see, but I would especially recommend this tour WITH Marian, to anyone who really wants the flexibility, knowledge, attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism that she brings to the table. You guys have a fantastic jewel in your guide arsenal. Congratulations, and thanks for it.

Khalid was our guide, and he was fantastic, friendly and very knowledge. He explained in great detail the history at each site, we had plenty of time on our own to take pictures and browse at our leisure.

Really recommend the 2-day guide as it gets really hot and too much to do in one day

Our guide, Mr. Ragab Ramadan took us over the two days and the whole experience was excellent. The driver picked us up at our hotel promptly and we picked up Mr. Ramadan on the way to the Valley of Kings. Mr. Ramadan was very sociable, with a great sense of humor, and his English was very fluent. His knowledge of the history was comprehensive. He was very responsive to our wishes and needs, and in addition to the sites, we were pleased with his choices of shops. The driver did a great job and was always nearby at the appointed times. Return to the hotel was on time as promised. We have been to Luxor on previous occasions, and this was by far the best tour we have taken.

An excellent excursion, we went with a guide, Egyptologist Ayat, we traveled all over Luxor, even El Medina where those who built the Valley of the Kings lived, a very good guide, we always had some water, he explained everything clearly and interestingly, we were also offered to go to Aswan and Abu Simbel, we went there, it was very interesting, we saw the temple along the way, the temple on the island and the museum in Aswan, and also the majestic Abu Simbel, the guide helped with everything if we needed anything, there was also some water and in the evening we walked around the Old Market in Aswan, we really liked everything, wonderful guide, highly recommend

I had the most wonderful two days with our guide Mr. Amin. First day we went to the West Bank, he advice us on which tomb to enter and gave us a very clear and easy to understand explanation. He’s extremely knowledgeable and very relaxed. He never rushed us anywhere we went. He was the best guide we had, and we been on alotttt of tours, he was the best. We also went to kings’s Seti and King Tut’s tombs, was an amazing experience. After that we went to Hatshepsut temple, then queen’s valley, went to Nefertari’s tomb, one word to describe the experience, AMAZING. Colors were still so vivid. So beautiful, the best tomb we went all day. The second day we went to Habu temple, here our guide showed us many secret places and many cool ancient Graffiti. And also gave us funny and good fun facts. Then we went to Karnak temple and Luxor temple, amazing places. I tell u if u have a chance, request for Mr. Amin, he came prepared with paper slide shows to explain you the stories and amazing fun fact u can’t find on the internet. I really really had a wonderful time touring in both 2 days. Thanks to you Mr. Amin.

What a beautiful couple of days we had. Definitely our highlight of the whole trip to Egypt, thanks first and foremost to Khaled, our guide and Madani, our driver. Both days started at 8am. The first day we visited the valley of Kings (4 tombs, among which one extra - Ramses V and VI) and the temple of Hatshepsut. Khaled explained to us the history of Egypt in pills from the most ancient to the most recent. It was a very nice introductory talk, that led later to a very much detailed explanation of what we were going to see. When we reached the sites he told us what to focus on when we were entering each tomb, as guides are not allowed to enter inside. At the exit of each tomb he was showing us the meaning of the things we saw. In Hatshepsut temple he was able to come with us. The second day we went to Karnak temple (THE HIGHLIGHT OF EGYPT for us) and Luxor temple. Also on this day, we were left with mind blowing explanations and fun facts about what we were seeing. It really made our whole experience a thousand times better than what it could have been. Khaled is the best guide! And if you’re not convinced, he also takes AMAZING pictures with no one behind you, although in reality there are entire groups of tourists (i.e.: the photo of us surrounded by the columns - it was full of people!!) 😂😂 jokes apart, book this tour, ask for Khaled and Madani and you’d never regret it!
