Our tour guide was knowledgeable about Vienna and intent on showing us a lot of the city highlights. He provided a lot of historical context.
Our issue was the guide was blunt and opinionated. Our meeting spot was a little hard to find and he blamed us for not communicating better with him, even though we had messaged him multiple times and he never responded. Later he started sharing his political opinions and making derogatory statements about the LGBTQ community. We're not interested in hearing or discussing topics like that, especially when we are simply trying to experience a wonderful city like Vienna.

Really cool experience! Had never been to Vienna before and the tour was amazing . Marietta was our tour guide and was amazing. She showed us all around town and was very accommodating for us! Definitely recommend!

We met Marietta at the Chattanooga restaurant. She greeted me like a long lost brother! Marietta led the 3 of us all over the central parts of the city for 2 & 1/2 hours. She encouraged us to ask questions, & shared many insights & experiences from her years growing up in Vienna. The fact that she had lived in the U.S. for 10 years gave her a broader perspective of Austria & its history. Marietta took us into Demel, a restaurant famous for Kaiser Schmarrn, an amazing dessert described as “scrambled pancakes”, served with plum compote: we watched it being cooked, & made a note to return later to enjoy, which we did more than once! Marietta is a lovely, bubbly lady. She took photos of us at various places, & shared them via WhatsApp, so we didn’t have to take selfies. She also sent us a generous list of suggestions for coffee houses , cafes,, & restaurants that were highly recommended, or near our Airbnb. Danke schon, Marietta 😊🤗😊

Our group of 6 loved David! He was funny, very knowledgeable and down to earth. He made sure our requests were included in the private tour and even took us into a local neighborhood market and grocery store to buy local items including chocolate and candy. The 3 hours went way too fast!

Seeing monuments of the great composers with the help of a very friendly guide.
Going into St. Stephen’s cathedral and St. Peters was a moving experience.

The guide changed the starting time to later and then was still 20 minutes late. We asked to meet at our hotel. He asked to meet a distance from there. The focus was wholly on free churches and exteriors. It was quite cold and windy. When asked if we could step inside add hear his information out of the wind, we were blamed for causing a disruption to the flow and getting things messed up. Knowledge of Austrian history was very shallow. We paid for his coffee, he stopped to get lunch as he skipped breakfast. He tried to sell other activities to buy from his friends and extend the tour for more money. Other similar tours have been great. This was not.
There were some facts that we found very interesting to learn but on the whole, it was a very thin veneer and not worth the cost.
