The tour begins with the pick up from the hotel and then make a journey of 1 hour and 20 minutes to our first place of visit, during the journey we will appreciate snow-capped mountains, lagoons, corn and potato fields.
The first place Moray (agricultural laboratory) where we can appreciate Andean terraces in circular form and that are carved in the depths of the earth, in the form of a bowl, were used to adapt products to different climates.
After the visit to Moray we will go to “Salineras” or “salt of Maras”, this town is formerly known as a salt producing center and is believed to date from pre-Inca times.
We can find more than 3500 salt beds strategically carved next to the mountain and that are filled by water channels.
Already back to the city of Cusco we will pass through a picturesque village “Chinchero” cradle of the rainbow, this town is characterized by the fact that the Andean textile technique is still preserved.

We had an absolutely fantastic tour to Maras and Moray, all thanks to our wonderful guide, Herwin, who was very thoughtful and made sure we were comfortable.
He took the time to answer all of our questions, making us feel incredibly welcome and well-informed.
The tour itself was very relaxing and enjoyable and Herwin has a lot of interesting knowledge about these unique places.
We highly recommend booking a private tour as it truly enriches the experience. A huge thank you to Herwin—we had a great time and lots of fun!

The views are beautiful, my family and I took many photos for our travel book. I have my phone full of photos of that place. I fell in love there. I love him! The excursion company is 10/10 and the prices are super affordable! Beautiful experience.

This rating is based on the quality of the tour/services and not the locations visited. No AC in the car on a hot day. It appeared that the guide lacked experience or didn’t care.

This is probably the only ancient salt pan from the inca times built on mountain slopes. The view is great from the top. If you wish you can get close to the pans. Recommended.

we highly recommend this tour. we added this tour last minute and we were glad we did. the two places we visited - moray terraces and maras salineras- were spectacular. must see if you are visiting cusco and Machu Picchu. worth the trip. our guide, Percy, was very informative and attentive. he showed us the best spots to have a great view of the places.great tour and tour company.
