The tour begins with an introduction to Dublin City, as we head south towards County Wicklow, known affectionately as the "Garden of Ireland".
Beautiful lakes, dense forests and romantic brooks make this a wonderful scenic drive and a fine day out from the big city.
See the scenery made famous by films such as Braveheart and P.S. I Love You. We make our way over the Wicklow mountains to Glendalough (minimum 1,5 hrs stop) - the valley of the two lakes.
Enjoy a relaxing walk to the Upper Lake and explore the monastic ruins of St Kevin's monastery including its round towers, Celtic crosses and much more.

This was a perfect half day excursion. Lovely bus ride to the Wicklow Mountains, followed by time to explore on your own. Back in Dublin for the afternoon. Exactly what we were looking for and the area was beautiful.

The scenery at Glendalough was gorgeous. Viator does not have or isn't using an updated trip description from Paddy Wagon. There is only ONE stop at Glendalough for 2 hours. It was barely enough time to walk to the Upper Lake. Anyone that walks slower would not have enough time to do it.

It's an easy morning trip if you want to get out of Dublin and see the beautiful Irish countryside.

My cousin and I enjoyed a lovely morning in the Wicklow Mountain area. The weather was perfect for a nice hike to the two lakes and we enjoyed delicious scones before boarding the bus back to Dublin. Our tour guide was very informative on the ride up and back.

We had done the Cliffs of Moher tour the day before and as we did not have a lot of time left on our vacation, decided to book the Glendalough & Wicklow Mountains Half Day Morning Tour from Dublin. Our guide Siobhan was truly wonderful. She was funny, kind and very knowledgeable, all in all a very good guide that took great care of us. The national park was stunningly beautiful, one of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen, definitely worth the trip (or actually several trips, we are planning on coming back). Only minus was that during our trip there was no stop in Wicklow, Lough Tay, before continuing to Glendalough Monastic Settlement. We went straight to Glendalough and spent two hours there. Would have loved to have that 20 minute photo opportunity at Wicklow, but still, warmly recommend this tour, this guide and Paddywagons altogether. Thank you!

1. Tour says group of 15, it was not. Maybe 50-60 people.
2. Tour stated if you love PS I Love You this tour is for you, nothing was mentioned/shown.
3. We only went to glendalough. It was also mentioned we would stop at a bridge for 20 minutes, did not happen.
4. Bus was dirty and smelt like urine in the back.

Simple trip: dropped at the Visitor Center, collected 2 hours later and brought back to the city. The driver, who doubles as guide, tried to give some touristic info, but most of it already known.

Cutting the time at Glendalough because the bus arrived late shouldn’t happen. Our bus also left 2 people behind because they didn’t get back in time.

What a lovely part of Ireland. Perfect for a nice walk in nature as well as historical monuments. They give you lots of information on the drive up too.
