The Q Train is an award winning restaurant that travels along the historic Bellarine Railway between Drysdale and Queenscliff.
Never before has Australia seen a heritage rail line used for showcasing local food, wine, beer and cider.
We’re inviting locals and visitors alike to come aboard our restored carriages and enjoy a gastronomical journey unlike anything else you have experienced.
In 2019, Australian MasterChef were wowed by the experience and hosted a team challenge episode on board The Q Train!
We are serving local produce on every journey from the comfort of our refurbished dining cars; providing every customer with a delicious rail journey, and unique views of Swan Bay and the Bellarine.

The Q Train in first class was sensational. The private cabin was awesome and the five course meal paired with local wines and craft beer was fantastic

Everything about our trip on the Q Train on 29 April was fantastic.
The staff who greeted us were welcoming and our server Montana was knowledgeable, personable and a joy to meet.
The first class compartment made us feel very special and provided a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the wonderful wildlife you see along the journey.
The 5 course menu was superb. I would go back again just to have the creme brulee.
If I could give 11/10 I would.

This was a wonderful experience with virtually all local ingredients and amazing staff. Options are available to suit varying budgets and you won’t be left hungry. A step back in time.

The Q Train is a unique experience, it was well worth doing the 1st class Dining. Now, if you just enjoy a slow ride to Queenscliff with the excellence of wonderful LOCAL produce, then this is something I’d recommend.

This was fun! The train moved slowly so we had time to enjoy the countryside. The meal was sooooo much better than I imagined. The staff were gorgeous and helpful. It was relaxing, and we got a short time to stretch and stroll at Queenscliffe.

Booked to go with some friends. Wonderful experience.
Staff are amazing. The servce is as good as a 5 star hotel.
The staff are very knowledgable on the food and paired wines.
If you want o have a memorable occasion with family and friends I highly recommend the Q Train.

It’s funny how we look further than our own backyard to find amazing things to do. Having seen the Q Train on social media I was definitely keen to go & it did not disappoint.
From the ferry ride from Docklands to the shuttle to the train, everything was seamless.
The actual lunch in first class was brilliant. The carriage was lovely & comfortable & Georgia looked after us with informative detail on the perfectly matched wines to our incredible food.
A brilliant way to spend a day & a must do experience to tick off your list

Absolutely fantastic experience, congratulations to all staff who tended to us, outstanding service. Couldn’t fault anything. Food was awesome as was the train ride. If you can afford First Class it’s definitely worth.

We loved this unique train experience of fine dining. Our first class compartment for 2 was classy and comfortable. Our 5 course degustation menu with a matching wine for each course was perfect. Each course was delicious and the local wines extremely good (Rose’, Chardonnay, merlot, Pinot noir and muscat). Each dish wasn’t overly large but having 5 of them we were beginning to struggle by the time sweets arrived. From the moment we walked onto the platform we received pleasant personalised service right through to disembarking 3 and a half hours later. The train journey also made for great countryside and bay views.
