Pick-up from nearest meeting point by your driver and guide.
Drive along the Sorrento Coast and enjoy views of the bay of Naples on the way to Pompeii.
Enjoy a 2 hours guided visit in the excavations with an expert and authorized local guide: discover the life of the Ancient Romans, see the main public monuments, the Forum and some of the houses of the Pompeii ruins.
Free time at leisure, if you wish take the suggestion of our guide for lunch.
Depart for Mount Vesuvius; collect your ticket from the guide and enjoy your free time there by walking to the top of the crater at your own pace; enjoy stunning views of the Gulf of Naples; If you wish, take advantage of the explanations of a vulcanological guide on the crater (included in your ticket).
Return to the meeting point where your guide and driver are waiting for you and relax on the way back to Sorrento.

Good trip and worthwhile to go on! The tour guide gave a surface level overview of Pompei which was good for us, but if you’re a history buff it may be better to go on a different tour! Otherwise, timely, nice, and glad we went on this tour!

Excellent guide, Tony, gave us a full commentary throughout the day. A lovely 2 course lunch was worth including in the ticket price. The 30 minute walk to the crater at Vesuvius is very challenging but worth it once there.

Tony our guide was very nice and explained a lot as we went round Pompeii. We needed more time though as it felt a bit rushed because a handful of people had booked lunch at a restaurant with Golden Tours so we had to leave for them. I think we should have been given the choice of free time in Pompeii or leave on the coach for the restaurant. There were places to eat at Pompeii and the coach came back past there ! Versuvias was amazing as the weather was good. The walk up and particularly back down can be a bit of a hike, I would highly recommend the sticks that the guy hands out for a tip 2 euro well spent in my opinion !! The trip is advertised as 8 hrs but a lot of that is travelling or eating at a restaurant. All in all an enjoyable day and great chat from our guide

We had a lovely day seeing Pompeii and hiking up Mt Vesuvius! My biggest takeaway… BRING MOTION SICKNESS MEDS, even if you don’t get car sick- the ride up is not for the weak! But the driver Carmeno was incredible.
The bus was on time, and once we got to Pompeii everything went smooth. We had an informative tour and had time for restrooms before & after the tour. We then left and drove to lunch. Lunch was a 3 course meal (and amazing and cheap!). Then, we drove up to Vesuvius. The twists and turns are wild!! The hike is honestly not easy but we did it for the views… we had a great day.
On the ride back we definitely closed our eyes because we were pooped!! It was a 9 hour day; but worth it :)

Ravello was the most beautiful highlight of the tour.
The tour was such an excellent experience. It was very informative and we saw such wonderful sights and ate and drank exquisite local cuisine.

Lovely and informative guide who gave great history about Pompeii and Vesuvius. Was about 8ish hours, bring a light coat as Vesuvius was a bit chilly at the top

We were picked up at a local hotel in Sorrento, Great tour of Pompeii, then a bus ride to Vesuvius. Our tour guide was great, and the driver did a great job. Unfortunately, our tour mates who dared to climb the rest of Vesuvius couldn't see a thing. My photo of the tree looks great, but no other visibility. Cleared up on our ride back to Sorrento. Oh well. Great tour regardless....can't help the weather! Very highly recommended!

This was an excursion from our hotel in Sorrento, it really was the best day out I've ever had. The views were phenomenal, & I'm glad we managed the trek up from the car park to the top, as it was well worth it 👌.

Booked this trip online before we arrived in Sorrento and were told well in advance where we would be picked up and what time. The pick up location was a 2 min walk from our Hotel and the bus was on time.
Our guide Antonio was fantastic throughout the day.
We had the tour booked with lunch included and when we booked it expected a packed lunch or similar. Instead we had a great 3 course meal at a resteraunt half way up Versuvius.
A great day at both locations.

My partner and I loved this trip. The coach journey was a little nerve-wracking at first as they were quite late (we realised everything in Sorrento runs late!) But once we where on, it was brilliant. Dropped off at Pompeii first where we had an excellent tour guide Luigi who knew everything. It was really hot, but he knew the best spots to stop and catch the breeze. Back at the coach we went to Mt Vesuvius which was insane. You don't have to climb to the top but we did. It is steep and slippy in places but the views are insane. Lots of stop points for a drink if you want. We had enough time to stomp up and back down to meet the coach.
Once back, we went to get some lunch (may have been before the mountain now I think about it). Lots of people on our trip had a pre booked meal. Now we didn't know that this was the only place to eat and neither did anyone else who hadn't pre booked. So we literally had no other option. It was nice food and drink for a fixed fee of €20 each (pizza, pasta or salad). Plus an ice cream in a tub. So either bring a packed lunch or eat at this one restaurant!
We got dropped back to near our pick up point, we actually asked to be dropped off somewhere closer to our hotel and the coach driver was fine with this.
It was a brilliant day. Not for young children unless they're up for a lot of walking in the heat and love the historical side.
