We will walk through the most important places in the history of black resistance in Rio de JaneIro, an immersion into Afro-Brazilian culture, gastronomy and customs.
You will learn stories of important personalities who fought with all their might for freedom and the end of slavery in the country.
We are going to finish the tour close to Pedra do Sal, the place where Samba was born. A place that still has the tradition of celebrating street parties every Monday and Friday.

The guide didn't show up still waiting for refund. We waited a long time and nobody showed up. Then it was too late to do any other tour. Waste of an afternoon

We took 3 tours with them! Santa Teresa tour was a gem & Lorena /Lola was knowledgeable, friendly and really lovely to meet. The African heritage tour led by Gaby was really informative & ended in the coolest party , absolutely stay for that. The whole party is around the same few streets, there’s tons of people, a great atmosphere and it’s easy and safe to grab an Uber when you’re done - don’t skip this part!
Finally the tour around the city centre with Raphael was very nice too and informative.
Thank you all so much for introducing us to Rio, we LOVE this city ❤️
