Use a dedicated gate restricted to the general public access to enter the Colosseum. Walk through the Gladiators Gate and right onto the Colosseum, where gladiators fought in ancient times and catch a glimpse of the beautiful Roman amphitheater surrounding you, where 60,000 screaming spectators would watch champions fight their opponents to the death. From here, you can even see the names of Roman nobles carved into some of the seats right atop the Arena Floor. Get your cameras ready, this view makes for the perfect picture.
After experiencing the exclusive Arena Floor, climb to the first and second tiers of the Colosseum. See where Rome’s wealthiest citizens sat to watch the gladiator games. Your guide will explain the rules of gladiator matches, as well as how this glorious structure got the name “Colosseum.”

We had a different tour cancel on us and scrambled last minute to get on this one - expectations were not high, but our tour guide Georgiana delivered a great experience!

Giovanna was a great storyteller! She kept the group active and engaged the entire time with her knowledge of the Colosseum. Not a stone left unturned!

I highly recommend seeing the Colisseum with a tour guide! You get so much more information and are able to maximize your time. We felt like this was a very good value.

The tour guide was efficient and knowledgable. He had a lot of detail and got us through very crowded spaces easily, but be forewarned it is crowded. This was a quicker tour, which was what we wanted and was kept to a single tier (second, I think). Exiting the colosseum was an adventure—you basically have to navigate the ground floor to get to the exit which is very difficult to find. Tried to go to the forum after but the line was crazy. I’ll also say it was a little challenging to figure out the meeting point but we gave ourselves a little extra time so it worked out. Still would recommend this tour.

Giovanna was an excellent tour guide and made enduring the heat and sun throughout our tour of the Colosseum worth it! I would definitely recommend doing a tour with her!

Very informative tour. Nice to skip some of the many lines, and to learn while we waited. Tour was well organized and professional.

Well organized company, knowledgeable tour guide. We had a nice time. I appreciated the length of the tour (not too long and you are free to stay as long as you want afterwards). My only feedback for the company would be that our particular guide spoke rather quickly in a staccato Italian accent that didn’t come across very well in the headphones.
Pro tip: if you are doing this in the summer go as early in the day as possible. We went at 11:30am and it was already over 90 degrees F. And “skip the line” really means “wait in a different line for 20 minutes designated for groups”. Nothing this or any company can do about that…just set expectations.

The 5:30pm tour and information was great. Our guide really knew her facts and made the experience great. She was a little difficult to understand out times but when we were in less crowded areas we could understand her well. My feedback would be to consider a different meeting point as it was crowded and uncomfortable at times with all peddlers.
