We were staying in Edinburgh and wanted to see the Highlands and Loch Less. Now this tour gets it all in from stops for pictures in Glencoe to a cruise on Loch Ness!
Callum was an incredible tour guide. He played Gaelic music, told us history tales and stories for the whole 10 hour trip. Most of this tour is on the road and it wouldn’t be complete without a local that is so passionate and incredible! Thank you Callum - we loved meeting you and you made the tour exceptional!

Excellent customer service
The tour guide is very friendly and very knowledgeable
It was very helpful to us to manage our time very efficiently and did not have to follow usual recommendations available on line
He took care of our dietary needs and also accommodated our wish to stop for shopping of Scottish things
It was above and beyond what I was expecting
Will recommend it highly

Our guide Angela was phenomenal, enthusiastic, friendly, gave us a ton of background info about the locations as we were driving, easy to understand and to follow, and did something really cool: as she was telling us the history and background info on places and people as we were driving, she had a playlist with songs (mainly Scottish songs) that related to the story she had just told us. This made the trip even more enjoyable and made the time go by really fast. We visited a ton of places, with not too much driving in between. The longest stretches were up front (1.5 hrs to get to the highlands) and about 2 hrs back from the highlands to Edinburgh. All in all, the best tour so far on week 4 of our 5 week, 6 country, vacation.

Keith was great he kept us entertained all day with stories and jokes. The itinerary was perfect and allowed us to see the most of highlands and he made sure to point out amazing photo opportunities. You will definitely see the most beautiful mountains and lakes in Scotland.

The Highlands of Scotland are truly unique in their combination of geographic beauty, friendly people and interesting places to visit. Regardless of the manner of touring the Highlands, those attributes are constant.
Our choice of the Heart of Scotland 5 day tour was fortuitous, the selection, made about 6 months in advance, was based on the specific places to be toured (the inclusion of the battlefields of Culloden where Jacobites were defeated by British forces was the deciding factor). Nick of Heart of Scotland tours was instrumental in establishing confidence that this tour would fulfill our expectations and arranging. B&B lodging for our party of three. (One of our small party was 91 years old and had difficulty with stairs). Nick kept us apprised of potential schedule changes and resolved conflicts that arose. Also, when an ATM swallowed my debit card, he arranged for us to use a credit card for payment at one of the B&Bs.
For the tour, like other tour companies, a 16-passenger bus was the means of transport. What distinguished this tour from others was the Driver, the Guide and Narrator, “Callum". His driving skills came into play repeatedly as he maneuvered The Wee Red Bus along one vehicle wide, country "roads" (more accurately, "lanes") displaying an uncanny ability to keep us moving safely when literally facing oncoming traffic or sheep and lambs who also elected to use the roadway. His detailed knowledge of not only the stopping places history but of the general countryside complimented what we were seeing throughout the tour.
But for me, his unique gift or weaving together the folklore surrounding the places, the people and the history into a Legend which he constructed and recited while we progressed between paces was what set this tour apart from others we have been on.
I unreservedly recommend Heart of Scotland Tours for their attention to detail and their desire to do whatever needs to be done to create a memorable experience.

Tour guide Andy did an amazing job of weaving history, culture, botany, and geology. The most memorable moments were ones where we stopped in unexpected spots like waterfalls and scenic overlooks unreachable by larger buses. Amazing experience, and while we did not see Nessie, we would definitely give this tour our highest recommendation and would do it again. The Wee Bus is the way to go.

The size of the tour was good. Bus was clean and in proper order. The bus driver served as the guide was kind and courteous. However, there needs to be specific information delivered in a less monotone and lengthy format to attendees so as to keep us interested and receive more bite sized facts. There is very little time at most stops but I understand it is due to keeping on schedule. The optional lake tour was nice and delivered in an informative format. This lake boat tour was operated by a different company.
