This tour is a good experience of getting closer to one of the most fascinating cultures of humanity that contacts you about time, history, adventure and knowing first-hand that culture that inhabited and left a relevant legacy for all of us, not only in architecture but also in mathematics, astrology, medicine and even many myths and legends that made us all tremble in 2012

We will visit 2 of the most important archeological centers of the Mayan culture (Tulum and Coba), a cenote in an excellent state of conservation without dynamiting and we will also have an approach to an authentic contemporary Mayan village.

What makes this tour a very complete experience made up of adventure and discovery?

Booked with them for tour visit to Tulum Cobá and cenote lunch included.
Departure at 07.15 arrival expected around 18.00
I would like to point out that the distances between the various sites and resorts are relevant for this reason whoever organizes these tours must know how to plan the movements and times well.
In this respect, as far as we are concerned, Maya Adrenaline was somewhat lacking.
Two days earlier we had done Chichen-itza with another guide and we had a very good time...
precise, attentive to timetables, information explained during the journey, simple but adequate lunch, in short they made the whole day interesting for us.
So we expected more or less the same thing with Maya Adrenaline
We left at 07.15 and they took us to the meeting point to organize the various minibuses.
We stayed there for about 30/40 minutes. and at the moment it didn't cause us any major problems.
Once we leave for Tulum, they leave us a spot in the parking lot.
I meet there again at the end of the visit.
At the meeting time we realized that the car park was filled with minibuses and bus taxis, almost all the same and this was a bit disorientating, but we managed to find ours.
We were supposed to leave at 11, but almost an hour later we were still there.
I ask for explanations and the driver tells me that two people are lost.
I tell him that it's actually not that easy to find each other and that perhaps they should specify the meeting point better.
In the end he decides to leave anyway and we go to the point for lunch.
Now… it's not that we expected to find a chef, we know that on these tours the lunch is minimal… however the one two days before was not bad…
But a single dish passed off as typical Maya with a bit of rice, a bowl of boiled beans, and a small piece of omelette cut into small pieces... it looked like dog mash.
We visit the cenote nearby and then leave for Coba…
after ten minutes of travel we go back to the meeting point and start waiting again..
after half an hour my wife asks for explanations and the driver says that they have lost the two from before again!!!!
Finally we set off again and realize that it's still an hour and a half or more away...
Why not first do Coba' which is further away and then move closer to see Tulum?!
No guide explaining anything just the driver.
We arrive at Coba' at 4pm... and the site closes at 5pm. For those who have never been there Coba',
it occupies a very large surface area, it takes at least two hours to see and appreciate it.
Once the mini visit is over they ask us if we want to taste some tekila in the souvenir shop just outside and... more waiting!!
We're starting to realize that it's getting late...
We leave and thought we were headed home... but no!!!
Stop again at the Mayan village!!! (For the record it is a fake village built just to sell something to tourists)
When I find out that we would be staying for another half hour and the driver tells us that it takes 2 and a half hours to get to the hotel from there, I start to get nervous.
The visit to the Mayan village with the shaman's ritual is part of another tour, but they put everything together to maximize the yield.
Given my nervousness... and not just mine...
after 15 minutes they decide to leave again...
At this point, what does the manager of the group I complained to do???
The list of names to fill out the evaluation form..!!!! More time!!
I was furious... we have 2 and a half hours to fill it out on the road and you want us to do it here?!? I won't fill you in on anything!!
We take the road back and arrive at the hotel at past 8.30pm…. Exhausted
I discovered while talking on the return journey that the people weren't lost... the staff had made a mess by loading them onto a minibus without saying anything to the person in charge of them.
In short, in the end we were around for 13 and a half hours to complete 9 hours of waiting, traveling and unsolicited stops.
We felt taken for a ride, like sheep taken to be sheared.
The same evening I sent a complaint email... no response
So today, a week later... my negative review
BAD BAD BAD

I enjoyed the locations we visited and liked the Cenote swim but the tour was all over the place. I had to change buses multiple times maybe 7-8 times. Most buses were without proper AC and it was very hot and humid outside. it took 2 hours just to get to the first location with 2 different buses. The tour guid in Tulum ruins and Coba did not give us a lot of information and because we were late he gave us a tour for 10-15 min the gave us free time which was not enough to explore the areas. The buffet was terrible there were no options they gave us only 1 plate without explaining what it contains. They did not ask if we have any food restrictions. At the end I was the last to be dropped off and when I asked them to drop me off at my hotel the driver refused and left me in front of another hotel where there were no taxis and I had to walk for a whole hour to my hotel. Luckily I found a taxi on my way to the hotel who charged me a crazy amount of money. I would not recommend taking this tour. I only gave 3 starts because of the beautiful location that we visited

The tour was good, the guides are very friendly. The only thing is that they pick you up on a bus, you go to a meeting place where they change you to another bus depending on the tour. All this is understandable, but the process is very slow, the guides are not very efficient in separating tourists according to tours, and a lot of time is wasted. Also, the bathrooms in the place (where you have lunch and where the cenote is) are disgusting, the water doesn't run, there is no toilet paper... Terrible.

We enjoy the trip in a way that we enjoyed the history and the beautiful views. The only negative side of it was the lunch. It was not a buffet. It was very disappointing. They served us a plate with rice, hard beans, cold scrambled eggs and some type of nacho roll. Food was cold, i could not eat it at all. Other than that, the guides were super pleasant, the cenote was beautiful. Hopefully they improve the meal.

iTour is the scheduling company for our excursion with Maya Adrenaline Mexico (ATV, Zip lining, and Cenote). Our tour with Maya Adrenaline was absolutely terrible as our tour guide passed out mid-tour from being "hung over" and we were stuck in the Mayan Jungle alone to figure out how to escape/get through the rest of the zip-lining tour safely. Our ATV tour ended short because they did not have enough operating atvs to accomodate our party of 6 and two other parties that they had to group together because our guide was not present. We also did not get to do the cenote tour because everything was so hectic that we had no guidance and did not feel comfortable doing it on our own. So - to say the least this experience was absolutely terrible - a nightmare! When we got back tot he main campground I asked to speak with a Manager to request a ride back to iTour as we were not going to continue to be inconvenienced and wait on another tour to end to get transported back. The Manager did not speak English so another employee had to translate for me. I asked for some type of compensation for the terrible experience as we did not get to do all the services we paid for - the Manager said they could get us a ride back to iTour but that iTour would have to process with the refund as they were the company we booked through. Upon arrival to iTour from the excursion, I spoke with the manager Marco who wanted more information on the experience. Marco was understanding after hearing us out and said he would have to speak with Maya Adrenaline to get information from them. As we asked was for a partial refund as we only got to do 1/3 of the events we paid for. Marco gave me his number to follow up on our request however after reaching out numerous times he has not been responsive. I am writing this review to let all know BE CAREFUL BOOKING with these companies as they are not accommodating and will take your money, give you poor service, make promises but end up screwing you over in the end. As a citizen on vacation I am extremely disappointed about this experience and feel taken advantage of. I will never book with either of these companies ever again.

We took a trip to the Mayan ruins in Tulum, the mayan rain God cenote and the Playa Paraiso. It was amazing. Our guide Ludo was the best. We've had a lot of guides throughout our journeys and vacations but we've never had such a great guide (❤️) The excursion was more that what we imagined, the lunch in the Tulum jungle felt tastier. We highly recommend Maya Adventure and Ludo!

Samuel was the highlight of our tour. He took me and my 10 other friends on an awesome tour zip lining, rappeling, ATVing through the jungle, a bomb lunch and drinks, cenote and cavern tours, and also to the Coba ruins. I would highly recommend this excursion and recommend Samuel even more! He made it the BEST!
