Did the Murano private tour experience and it was great. Our tour guide was Ms. Eleonora and she was perfect. She met us at our hotel and escorted us to our private boat that took us to Murano. She was very knowledgeable about the Basiica in Murano and the history of glass making in Venice/Murano. We loved her.

We avoided any crowds and really felt that we had a private and exclusive experience.

This really was a sales tour for the company.
“guide” was nice but there really wasn’t any discussion or tour unless we specifically asked questions (She did make sure we knew how to get home). Then transitioned to a factory host. Glass making was two quick pieces and not a lot of discussion of Murano history, process, etc. Spent more time in sales room. Just be careful if buying a piece (we checked on a piece we were looking to buy but walked when we learned it wasn’t made at the factory - yes by the artist but at offsite locations ). Truly disappointed. In the end we could have taken a water taxi and tried to walk into a factory. Or chosen another factory.

The guide was personable and informative. The glass demonstration was fantastic! We have use Viator multiple times on our trip and have had one disappointing tour, which they took care of, the rest have been great!!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and good at explaining everything. He also ensured that we were able to get back to San Marco. He even provided a great recommendation for lunch which we enjoyed.

It was amazing to see the masters blow glass and then walk through the amazing glass showroom. So glad we did this!

Gianluca was a great tour guide. He took us to a wonderful glass blowing workshop with beautiful creations. The trip across the lagoon was fun. More great photos.

The glass blowing viewing was very cool. Really enjoyed learning about the process and watching the artists craft their piece.

The tour guide within the factory scammed us at the end and ruined the entire experience. “Go ahead and grab two glasses to take them home.” We proceeded to pick out two glasses and then the salesman ended up charging us $50/ea after implying they were a gift/free. Slimy Scam artist

Then, after the glass blowing factory, we weren’t even given the opportunity to tour the church. The other tour guide who brought us to the island told us the church was closed. We paid for the entire tour which included touring the church, and we weren’t even given that opportunity. Another scam.

The boat ride and the tour guide were great. Why I don't recommend this tour, was because we couldn't stay on the island and look around at other places. We would've stayed to see other shops (and yes there is a high pressure sales guy there, but you can say not interested, but we did buy something nice for our souvenir). Paying for a trip that we could've done on our own doesn't seem worth it.

This was an excellent tour - highly recommend. Watching the craftsmen work was interesting, and touring the very extensive shop afterward was awe-inspiring. Our guide, Eleanora, was very energetic and helpful - fun to be with and full of great information. We learned not just about glass-making but a lot about Murano and Venice, too.
