Start your tour by getting picked up by your guide in private vehicle at your accommodation, in Barcelona City Center. Please, make sure to specify the exact address of your accommodation when booking. Get on the road, and experience your journey to Girona and Costa Brava

Head to the first destination of the day, the historical city of Girona, where the relics of its Roman and medieval past coexist with the present, offering an image full of contrasts. Wander along its labyrinth of narrow streets and to travel back in time to the best preserved Jewish district of Europe.

Within the Old Force of the city, stroll down the Jewish Quarter, one of the most emblematic spaces. Get lost in a maze of alleyways and patios that keep the aura of medieval times. It is one of the best preserved Jewish quarters in the world and an evident example of the importance of the Jewish culture in Girona.

In the Força Vella, the Old Force, admire the Girona Cathedral, located at the highest point of the city. Built between the 11th and 19th centuries, it includes various walls and spaces in different architectural styles, from a Romanesque monastery to a Baroque façade. Its most striking feature is the large Gothic nave which, with a width of 22 meters (72 ft), is the largest of its kind in the world.

Marvel the colorful façades of the houses on the shores of the Onyar River that flows through the city and engenders this warm atmosphere of colored houses and symbolic image of Girona. You will enjoy various and beautiful panoramic views, either from the various bridges that cross Onyar river or from the top of the medieval walls of the city.

One of the bridges was designed by the famous Gustave Eiffel in 1877. The modern feel of the ironclad Eiffel Bridge contrasts sharply with the old buildings of the city.

Before heading the Costa Brava, make a stop in the peaceful nature of Pals. The ancient medieval town of Pals, once a fortress, is full of idyllic cobblestone streets and squares. From its towers and viewpoints, enjoy the best views of the Mediterranean Sea. Admire Pals' beautiful green fields, the plains of the Empordà that stretch on the horizon.

Contemplate the greenery of the mountains, the steep relief of the coast and the small villages of whitewashed houses. Make a stop in Calella de Palafrugell, a small and traditional fishing village that still remains very charismatic, before exploring the surroundings.

Not far away Calella, take the opportunity to discover the less explored nooks of the region thanks to the Caminos de Ronda, an old route used by fishermen, guards and smugglers. From the most popular beaches in the area to the most inaccessible caves and cliffs. To finish your day in beauty, take the opportunity to dive in the crystal clear waters, before to go straight back to your accommodation in Barcelona.

The tour was very nice to see small historic villages , beautiful Churches with guide , experience the culture and local cuisine. Matteus picked us up at Hotel, excellent driver and tour guide , very considerate and knowledgeable. Matt coordinated a nice sea side lunch , great food and we liked that the tour was limited to a small private group.

We had a great day with our extremely friendly and knowledgeable tour guide Vincent & driver Joaquín. We visited Gerona, Pals and of course Costa Brava. Vincent communicated the night before and warned us of the potential rain during the excursion. Fortunately, we were able to avoid the majority of the rain and Vincent adeptly worked the tour to keep us all dry by ducking into shops or covered alleys to continue to learn the amazing history during the walking tour portions of these beautiful and storied towns. The trip out to the areas took about an hour drive in a well air conditioned car and we felt safe throughout. We did not feel rushed and had plenty of free time to roam on our own between the guided portions of the tour. We grabbed small snack and some espresso at Girona and had a great view and delicious meal at Costa Brava. Took tons of picturesque photos and will remember for a very long time. It was great to get out of Barcelona for a day to enjoy the nearby wonders of the seaside and history outside of the city center. Would highly recommend!

Our tour guide Aleix was friendly, knowledgeable, interactive and spirited. We spent the day exploring Girona’s spectacular sites, ate at an authentic restaurant in a local town, tasted locally made wine and embraced the seas breeze. We highly recommend this tour, it’s a must!

Miguel was an awesome tour guide! He was patient with my group of 12 as we had some tardiness and still managed to have us hit all the spots! He give us great history and cultural facts and really has a love and passion for Barcelona that was shown! He kept us laughing and it was so nice to have a friendly face and attitude on the tour to make everyone feel safe and comfortable for the long drives and all the walking. All locations were beautiful, took a bit of walking but worth the views in my opinion once you take into account the power of God seen through His creation! Overall, really enjoyed the tour & would suggest Miguel for this and anything else in Barcelona!

We had a great day exploring costa Brava with Ventura. He was funny, knowledgeable and an overall great guy. We visited Girona and learned about the wonderful history of this ancient town, ate lunch in the quaint Pals and dipped our toes in the ocean in Palafrugell. Overall it was a wonderful day and a good time provided by Ventura.
