This tour will start from your accommodation in Barcelona. Your guide will pick you up at any apartment or hotel in Barcelona, you are staying in. Please, make sure to specify the exact adress of your accomodation when booking. After the pick-up is completed, you will head to the first destination of your tour.

You will start the day in the historical centre of Girona, where the relics of its Roman and medievval past coexist with the present, offering an image full of contrasts. With its beautiful scenery and medieval atmosphere, it is no wonder that Girona has been chosen to be the setting of various scenes in the popular series 'Game of Thrones'.
3.
In the ancient part of the city, you will admire the Girona Cathedral. Built between the 11th and 19th centuries, it includes various walls and spaces in different styles, from a romanesque Monastery to a Baroque façade. Its most strikng feature is the 23 meters wide nave, the largest of its kind in the world.

We will stroll in the Jewish Quarter, one of the most emblematic spaces of the city. Get lost in the nave of alleyways and patios that maintain the aura of medieval times. It is one of the best-preserved Jewish quarters in Europe and an evident example of the importance of the Jewish culture in Girona.

One of the bridges, we will get to see while being in Girona, is ne designed by Gustave eiffel in 1877. The modern aspect of the bridge contrasts sharply with the old buildings of the city.

The colorful façades of the houses on the shores of the Onyar River, that goes through the city, and engender this warm atmosphere and symbolic images of Girona. You will also enjoy beautiful panoramic views, either from the top of the medieval walls or from the various bridges that connect the two parts of the city.

After visiting Girona, we will get back on the road to reach Dali's birthplace: Figueres, a small town near the border of France. Follow the artits' footsteps through the streets and corners that marked Dali's formative years.

In Figueres, Dali left his marks in his own museum, built upon the ruins of the old municipal theatre. The building is considered as the largest work of surrealist art in the world. Plunge deep into the painter's creative mind by visiting the museum and experiencing a comprehensive collection of the peculiar exhibitions. Get prepared to be amazed by this inspiring piece of art, that definitley will mark your day.

Our guide Ventura was excellent, very knowledgeable and a professional! He picked us up at our hotel in Barcelona and drove us to visit both Girona and Figueres. His insights into both cities was extremely informative. He knew all the background on the Dali museum paintings and pointed out several nuances that we would not have noticed.
Highly recommend him for any tour in Barcelona and nearby towns.

We took a private tour for2 and it was great. Our guide Dulce was outstanding. She has studied in the USA, taught in France, and speaks 7 languages.
We had a nice tour of Girona, where Dulce had attended the university. She gave us an in depth tour of the sites, while explaining the broad history of the city.
We had high expectations for the visit to the Dali Museum and they were met. If you are a fan and interested in Dali, this is an essential stop.
The logistics of the trip were great, we had a nice driver, and a good sized comfortable SUV.

This was my first time in Spain (Europe in general), and it’s been a dream to come here. The Dalí museum, amongst other things, was one of the top things I’ve wanted to do. Our tour guide Matt picked us up in Barcelona (Safestay) and he was so nice and knowledgeable about the city, art, and various things. I had the best time with my sister getting to see the Dali museum AND visiting Girona. The GoT fans will not be disappointed. Definitely planning on coming back and doing a new tour in the future!

We had a great time. The farmers strike in Spain meant a lot of detours to get to our destination but Matt handled it smoothly without any fuss or stress. He was very knowledgeable and his commentary helped us in understanding Dali’s art and also history and importance of Girona. Highly recommend!

Mattheus is an amazing tour guide with a zany sense of humor and a good knowledge of Girona. His explanation of a few Dali Jewel pieces tied things together.
He communicated early amd frequently to keep us in the loop about pickup and drop off times.
If you see Matt as your tour guide, you are in for a great time.

Omid Salek led an informative and well-paced tour. He has a breadth of knowledge on art, history and architecture to name a few topics. My husband and I had a terrific day visiting Figueres, Dali Museum and Girona under his guidance! He has in depth knowledge of Girona, a beautiful city well worth visiting and not too far from Barcelona.
