We had a fabulous time on this food tour. We were definitely full by the end! Sara our guide was fun and had lots of fun facts to keep us entertained. Although there were a couple of items that were not my cup of tea, we had a great time and would recommend for others as a way to experience traditional Venetian food options and wines.

Alessandro was wonderful! He knows food, wine, and Venice! We had a great experience! I’m not real sure how people find things to complain about. Meet up was spot-on if you read the instructions. It’s a walking tour, so you walk. You eat what they eat, thus eating like a local. If that’s not what you want, then just don’t go! 😁Just as advertised and more!! Great history lessons along the way. Thanks so much for a a great night!

Martina was our guide and she was fabulous!!! What a fantastic way to see Venice and experience a bit of local flavor. The food and wine were delicious and Martina was engaging,knowledgeable and fun. Would highly recommend

Sara was a fantastic tour guide who happily shared insights on local specialties and hidden spots for great food and wine. Her introduction to a small, family-owned bakery had us scurrying back for their unforgettable weekend-only special. Delicious!

First, we were able to communicate via the app and call to leave a message when our flight was delayed, and we were able to switch to the next night for the tour—thank you!
Very kind tour guide, yummy food, definitely plenty to eat. The tour was over 3 hours! Good way to get a little grounding on the culture of the city.

This was an amazing and very fun tour! Ellena was very entertaining, interesting and a joy to be around! We had a wonderful experience test tasting the local foods and wine. There was plenty of food. One of our party was gluten free and one did not eat meat. They were very accommodating! Don’t miss this one!!! ❤️

My partner and I were in Venice for 3 nights. After extensive research I booked the "Eat Like a Local" and the "Eat, drink and repeat" tours for different days. The two tours had different names, different durations, different age requirements and different tour descriptions. Unsurprisingly, I thought they were different tours, which I don't think is an unreasonable conclusion.

We went on the "Eat Like a Local" tour and it was great! However, when we arrived the next night for our "Eat, drink and repeat" tour we were told by the same tour guide that had completed our tour on the day previously that the two tours are the same and that the group would be going to the same venues as the day before, except if one of them was busy or something that changed the plans at the last minute. The guide advised her manager that we had been sold the same tour twice by Viator and requested a refund for us.

I followed up with a message to the tour operator, but didn't receive a response.

I requested a refund from Viator, and didn't receive a response. A number of weeks later, I contacted Viator and was told the refund request had been denied. I explained that Viator had essentially sold me the same product advertised in completely different ways and that there was no note or warning that the tours were the same on the advertising material. Viator escalated the refund request, and I have received an email today saying that Viator "can't" refund me for the second tour, in which we did not participate. I assume the tour operator refused the refund, but I don't know for sure because no particulars were given.

I find it amazing that Viator and the tour operator don't seem to think it's a problem that they have advertised the same product in two completely different ways, which induced me to book both tours. The tours are not cheap and I am not out of pocket for the tour that my partner and I did not participate in (on the guide's suggestion), and we missed the opportunity to book a different tour while we were in Venice as the second tour was scheduled for our last night in Venice.

Suffice to say, I will never book another experience through Viator again and I will now be investigating other options and remedies, but wanted to write this review so that other consumers are not misled by the same tour being advertised in two different ways by Viator.

This was so-so… at the last minute she changed the time of the tour and we already had another tour booked and could not change it and had to leave early and missed a few stops; they said they would partially refund us but that never happened. I don’t think they should be allowed to change the time within 24 hours if we are not able to cancel and get refunded in 24 hours… bad policies… I don’t think I would take this tour again. Go to Rome and take KAT’s food tour— it was excellent!!!
